Manufacturer warranties: a file nobody keeps — except the registry.

A manufacturer warranty only exists if someone knows it exists. A heat pump compressor is often covered for ten years, parts for five or ten, under two conditions almost nobody tracks: the warranty was registered on time, and the unit was serviced by a professional, with proof. On the day of the breakdown, the customer who has neither pays for the repair — and remembers who installed it.

The four dates that matter

What the registry does with those dates

In Byrsia, every unit carries its warranty end date and a “registered with the manufacturer” box; at import, the AI picks up the terms written on your invoices (parts, extended compressor or tank warranty). Units whose warranty is not registered get a registration reminder 30 days after installation; a warranty ending within six months is flagged on the record and surfaces under “To contact”; and for a claim, the maintenance-proof file exports in one click (Professional plan and up) — the unit's complete, dated history. The maintenance certificate handed to the customer carries a verifiable QR code.

Why it is a sales argument, not paperwork

“Your compressor warranty requires documented annual maintenance — we take care of it” is the sentence that gets a reply to a reminder, because it helps before it sells. It is true with most major manufacturers (always check each one's conditions: we write that on every page). And the day a customer claims, it is your file that defends their claim: the kind of service people tell the neighbour about.

Byrsia keeps the warranties of your whole registry: end date per unit, registration reminder after installation, alert six months before expiry, exportable maintenance proof and verifiable certificates.
