Compliant with Québec's Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information ("Law 25").
Designated officer: the founder and operator of Byrsia.
Contact: bonjour@byrsia.com — subject "Personal information".
Any request for access, rectification, withdrawal of consent or deletion is handled within a maximum of 30 days.
Information is used exclusively to: answer your requests, provide the service (registry rebuilding, reminders, invoicing), ensure security and meet our legal obligations. We collect nothing "just in case". Any other use would require separate consent, requested in clear and simple terms.
For the data a business customer imports into its registry (its own clients), Byrsia acts as a service provider (agent) of that business, which remains responsible for this information. Byrsia processes it only on the business's instructions, under a written agreement compliant with Law 25, and never uses it for its own purposes.
No sale, no rental, no exchange of personal information — ever. The only third parties that touch data are the technical processors necessary to the service (hosting, email and SMS delivery, AI-assisted extraction), each bound by written confidentiality commitments and limited to its function. Some processors may be located outside Québec: in that case, a privacy impact assessment is carried out before the transfer, as Law 25 requires.
As Law 25 requires, we keep a register of confidentiality incidents. Any incident presenting a risk of serious injury is reported diligently to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI) and to the persons concerned, along with the measures taken to limit the injury.
If you are unsatisfied with how your request is handled, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).
The short version: this site has nothing to hide, because it does not track you.
This site uses no tracking, advertising or third-party analytics cookies. No browsing data is sent to advertising platforms. Only strictly functional local storage is used in your browser:
| Item | Type | Role | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| g_intro | Session storage | Play the opening animation only once per visit | Tab close |
| g_temoin | Local storage | Remember that you read the cookie notice | Until you clear it |
| Session cookie (client area) | Functional cookie | Keep you signed in to the platform | End of session |
The site also keeps fully anonymous traffic statistics, computed server-side: a simple counter (page viewed, button clicked) with no cookie, no IP address, no identity — impossible to link to a person. These items are necessary for operation and serve no profiling. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings ("Clear site data"); the site will keep working.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; this technical request does not transmit your identity and sets no tracking cookie.
Applicable to the Byrsia website and the Byrsia platform (the "client area").
By using the site or the platform, you accept these terms. The platform is intended for businesses (professional use), not consumers.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for actions taken under your account. Notify us without delay of any unauthorized access. We recommend changing any initial password at first sign-in.
It is prohibited to use the platform to: send communications that do not comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL); import data you have no right to hold; attempt to bypass security mechanisms; resell the service without a written agreement.
The platform, its code, design and texts belong to Byrsia. Your data belongs to you: you grant us only the limited licence necessary to provide the service. You can export all of your data at any time.
The calculators, scenarios, demos and "potentials" shown on the site are illustrative simulations. No revenue is promised or guaranteed: your results depend on your data, your clients and your market. Byrsia provides no legal, accounting or tax advice.
The service is provided "as is" with a best-efforts obligation: we aim for maximum availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance windows are, where possible, placed outside business hours.
To the extent permitted by law, Byrsia's total liability, all causes combined, is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the event. Byrsia is not liable for indirect damages (loss of profits, loss of clientele, reputational harm). Nothing in this clause excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
We may evolve the service and these terms. Any substantial change is announced at least 30 days in advance in your client area or by email.
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute falls under the competent courts of the judicial district of Montréal.
Applicable to any Byrsia subscription with a commitment term (6, 12, 24 or 36 months). These terms supplement the terms of use (section 3).
The subscription gives access to the chosen plan for the agreed commitment term, starting when the paid account is activated. At the end of the term, the subscription renews month to month at the same rate, cancellable any time with 30 days' notice — unless a new commitment is agreed in writing.
The agreed monthly rate is frozen for the entire commitment term: no increase can be imposed on you during that period, whatever the new public rate.
Within the first 30 days after activation, you may terminate without cause and without penalty: subscription amounts paid are fully refunded, and the commitment is cancelled. After that period, section 4.5 applies.
Billing is monthly (or prepaid, per the chosen offer). In case of payment default, a written notice grants you 10 days to cure; failing that, access may be suspended until payment (suspension does not suspend the commitment). Overdue amounts bear interest at 1.5% per month (18% per year).
The commitment is the consideration for the reduced rate and granted benefits (free implementation, rate freeze, free months). If the customer terminates before the end of the term, outside the 30-day guarantee and the cases in 4.6: the balance of the remaining monthly payments becomes due as liquidated damages, the parties agreeing this is a reasonable estimate and not a penalty. Benefits conditional on the commitment (free implementation) become billable at their value if termination occurs within the first 6 months.
The customer may terminate without penalty, effective immediately and with no balance due, if: (a) Byrsia commits a substantial breach not cured within 30 days of written notice; (b) a substantially adverse change to the service or terms is imposed (see 3.8); or (c) the service is repeatedly and significantly unavailable despite written notice.
Byrsia may suspend or terminate the contract in case of serious customer breach (illegal use, persistent non-payment after notice, security compromise). If terminated for customer breach, the commitment balance remains due per 4.5.
The customer indemnifies Byrsia against any third-party claim arising from use of the service in breach of these obligations.
At the end of the contract, whatever the reason: the customer can export all of its data for 30 days; upon written request, a full copy is provided. Data is then deleted from active systems within 60 days (backup copies expire by rotation). No data is ever withheld as security for a payment.
The limitation of liability in section 3.7 applies to the contract. Neither party is liable for a failure caused by force majeure. The contract may not be assigned without written consent (except to a successor of the business). If a clause is held invalid, the others remain in force. Sections 3.7, 4.5, 4.8, 4.9 and 4.10 survive the end of the contract. The parties have requested that the contract be drawn up in French; in case of translation, the French version prevails. Governing law and courts: section 3.9.
In plain words: you know what you pay (frozen rate), you can leave with peace of mind in the first 30 days (refunded), your data always follows you (guaranteed export), and the commitment protects both parties — it is what funds your discount.
